It came into my mind another game from 1983, Round 21 where Footscray trailed St Kilda at Moorabbin 39 points down at three quarter time.

I was thinking about this, purely by the margin only - 39 points. If we were trailing by 38 points or 40 points, I wouldn't have thought of this St Kilda match with Robbert Klomp, Robert Semmens and of course Ian Williams. But for some reason any game where we find ourselves 39 points behind at 3/4 time always sets off an alert in me.

We got up and grabbed that one in August 1983 - unexpectedly the above mentioned Ian Williams kicking the winning goal right near the siren to the right hand end.

I thought we were going to do it again last night, excellent last 15 minutes but not quite.
