Brian Lake has not had a great start at Hawthorn with his antics making it in the media. It will be interesting to see how his year goes. I still wish he was with us by the way and I think we did not get enough for him in exchange either.

A slight hiccup for him, before they put him straight and with his class and ability the Eastern Hawks will be the first team to go through a season undefeated.

You were correct Caveman. I still feel sad that Brian Lake not only left us, but we got nothing much in return at all. Hawthorn really made absolute fools of us and that stings.

I was a bit out- as in three games, however winning the Norm Smith Medal overrides the three defeats.

I would consider relinquishing a player that moves on to win a Norm Smith Medal, is worse than waving goodbye to one who wins a Charles Brownlow Medal.

Should Brian Lake take part in karaoke's then he may as well be sing that old Gracie Fields number- "Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye"
