This year 2007 as the Western Bulldogs is our 11th under that name and the 11th away from playing our home games at the Whitten Oval in Footscray. Forget the one off game in 1997 against the other club with 'West' in their name.

So how much have we progressed since the administration of 1996 changed our name and we left the Footscray ground?

Well in that time the ONLY teams to do BETTER than us in terms of Premierships and Grand Finals in both the day and the pre -season NAB Cup are Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Geelong, Hawthorn, Melbourne, North Melbourne / Kangaroos, Richmond, St Kilda, Adelaide, Brisbane, Port Power, Sydney and West Coast.

Here is every teams high point, taking as the best position the number (1) Premiership, (2) Grand Final runners up, (3) Pre-Season Premiers, (4) Pre Season Runners Up (5)Preliminary Finalists

Adelaide 1997,1998 Premiers
Brisbane 2001,2002,2003 Premiers
Carlton - 1999 Runners Up
Collingwood 2002, 2003 Runners Up
Essendon 2000 Premiers
Fremantle 2005 Preliminary Finalists
Geelong 2006 Pre-Season Premiers
Hawthorn 1999 Pre-Season Premiers
Melbourne 2000 Runners Up
North Melbourne / Kangaroos Premiers 1999
Port Power 2004 Premiers
Richmond 2002 Pre-Season Runners Up
St Kilda 1997 Grand Finalists
Sydney 2005 Premiers
West Coast 2006 Premiers
Western Bulldogs Preliminary Finalists 1997,1998

So when you look at that with pride we can pat ourselves on the back and say to a fellow Bulldogs fan-

"Well mate were right up there with Fremantle"
