Great to see the Southern Saints win today for their great man Robert Harvey. A champion and a gentleman. Thoroughly deserved victory for his 350th game- if we can't win a flag, this or next year, I would like to see them win one just for him alone, although I have a soft spot for St Kilda.

can we forgive him for unfairly winning the Brownlow in 97 when Granty was robbed???

Of course we can, it's not his fault the tribunal was on the payroll of Collingwood who didn't want to face us at full strength the next week.

Oh yes, I can hold a grudge.

Well Done Mr Harvey.

Yes I have no complaint with Robert Harvey over that. He has proved to be more that a worthy winner.

Ian Collins lives walking distance from where I am and a Richard Osborne torpedo punt from a mate of mine's house.

Funny how a few years ago he said he didn't know where Footscray was?

Robert Harvey is a great player. I think that Harvey, Chris Grant, Scott West, Brad Johnson and Matthew Richardson are all great players and do not get enough recognition. Compared to all the publicity that Nathan Buckley and James Hird get every single week. I know Richardson can be very sulky on the footy field and also misses too many shots for goal but he tries so hard every week and can win games for Richmond by himself. I also admire the way he is proud to have played 250 games for the one team, something that the likes of Nathan Brown could never understand.

Chris Grant was incredibly unlucky with the brownlow but as was mentioned this was not Harvey's fault. I just wish that Grant could get more recognition. We have missed him dreadfully this year. I doubt if he will play on again next season but I hope that he does. I really admire him as a person and a player.

Matthew Richardson misses way too many shots for goal- except when he plays us! :?

He always seems to put them away. ie 2004 at the MCG

I hope he continues as I also hope Chris Grant does.

Robert Harvey to my thinking will be the only player to go 20 years as in 1988-2008. His first game was against Footscray at the Western Oval back in 1988.

Teddy Whitten senior went from 1951-1970. I believe that is the best in terms of calendar years- Kevin Bartlett started in 1965 and finished in 1983.
