For the first time since 1998 do I feel truly confident that we can do it!

I'm not used to us running into the finals all guns blazing!

Sadly I will be on a flight to Sydney on Saturday afternoon but I will be using the Virgin Blue Foxtel thingy to watch the match!

PS - Did anyone hear the psychic on SEN predict the Dogs to win the flag by 10 goals against the Saints? Wouldn't that be beautiful!

Aka for Norm Smith! I'm excited!

I hope we can go all the way. We have many great players and they all seem confident and commited. I hope the preditions are correct !

So Rocket has to drop two players to make way for Hudson & Griffen...

The media seems to think it'll be Reid & Everitt...

I think it should be Akermanis & Johnson. And Cooney. They've all been rubbish.

I'm using humour as a defence mechanism because I can't choose.

Low and behold, the media got it right. Reid and Everitt out.

Maybe Akermanis, Johnson and Cooney should be started on the bench- just to confuse the Country Cats? Geelong did this is a final when Malcolm Blight was coach in 1989 against Melbourne. It obviously worked because they won and won the next week against Essendon and thus moved into the Grand Final. Didn't win it though.

Once more we let our opponent take a big lead before starting a late fightback that eventually came up just short, just like when we played Geelong and Collingwood in the early rounds. That's not much between us and any of the other teams that are still in it, and if we just manage to keep the score tight in the first three quarters, we may well defeat any of them, including the Saints.

Yes we have the ability to beat all of them on a given day although St Kilda will be the hardest of those remaining.

We rolled Brisbane up there just three weeks ago- so if we can roll them up there in banana bender land- then we can do it here on the cricket ground.

Brad Johnson will kick 8- equal Danny Del Re's Finals record for us which DDR achieved for us in 1992
