Well, what a heart breaker. If only we had kicked more goals instead of points. Our mistakes cost us dearly. Also, that mark by Davis was actually out on the full. It is funny how the broadcasters chose not to highlight that it was out, when everyone on radio and the print media did. It proves my argument that Bruce the goose and Cometti are always barracking for Collingwood. Honestly, they hardly show any excitement over the way we play but goo and gaa over the likes of Collingwood and Carlton all the time. And to think that Cometti is supposed to be a Footscray supporter ! He has been canning us for years and even claimed jubilantly in the third quarter " The Dogs are gone " Also what a dreadful bit of luck that Dale Thomas kicked the winning goal. For all the publicity he gets he is a very average player who never gets the hard ball. There are about fourteen Collingwood players who are far more skilled and brave than Thomas but don't get a quarter of the publicity he gets. O'h well, better luck for us next time I hope.

It was just like the game against Geelong. We fell just short. Still, after thrashing the premiers (I still can't believe they won, I watched the Grand Final live and I only "accepted" that Hawthorn would win in the 3rd minute of time-on in the last quarter, until then I assumed that Geelong would turn things around) and also "only just" failing to win against Geelong we continue to have cause for optimism.

Thank You Amelia Jane! I was in the Rose hotel Fitzroy screaming at the big screen when Davis took that 'mark'. I was heavily heavily outnumbered by Colliewobbles and even some of them agreed.

I didn't realise that the radio and print had called it out on the full as well. [I don't tend to read the papers after a loss like that, gets my blood boiling all over again]

Round 22 let's get revenge!

Too true, bring round 22 on, the tv just didn't bother- too busy going on and on and on about Didak. Dennis Cometti you disappoint me- I was hoping for better from you.

I watched the Essendon Footscray game at home on Friday night. Realised it was first time I'd seen the Doggies at home on TV since rd 13 2007. Anyway - was really surprised with how much bias Dennis & Bruce gave to Essendon early on, but then changed to biasing us later on in the match. Seemed they favoured whoever was winning.

Odd.

Either way,

Go Dogs.
