Today in the earlier game at the Docklands- S.N.Don won by 139 points over the half a tons and their score was nearly 200 points.

The Western Bombers fell short of two things that they achieved back on Round 22 1982 (that was the last round of the home and away season in that year)

Back on that fateful day they won by 146 points and scored over 200 points against......... er ...... the bulldogs (shoosh lets try and er hope that no one mentions it)

I was hoping in the last quarter of their game today that the Western Bombers were going to surpass both of those from 1982 but alas they did not. Especially the 146 business.

It was a rotten year 1982- four defeats by over 100 points and the 109 points in Round 1 (also like Round 22 it was against S.N.Don) was the smallest of those 4x 100+ thrashings.

The last quarter today following Moles' behind, that levelled the scores, was terrible but in perspective with these 1982 'Barry Crockers' for us old enough to remember is less painful.
