I have been altered to this just recently that on You Tube there is loads of action from

1975: Round 2, Footscray v Fitzroy

this is the infamous Neil Sachse game from back then on Round 2 of 1975.

This action added to You Tube comes from the Neil Sachse Foundation organisation. Just type that into your search engine and you should find this quick enough.

It is intriguing to watch this because most of us have seen the sickening collision, but hardly anything from the rest of the match.

The match becomes irrelevant because of what happened right near the end of this game. Yet there is still a fascination with the rest of the game being able to be viewed on the internet for these reasons below

Footscray wearing what was our new jumper for the 2nd time (it was worn the week before at the MCG against Melbourne) but first time at home.

Footscray wearing the red shorts for the first time (the week before as mentioned above was an away game, so it would have been white shorts)

Fitzroy wearing yellow shorts

This is the first year of colour television in Australia, if you look at the crowd you will see quite a few people wearing the previous more traditional Guernsey.

it is probably the most rare extended game footage of a VFL match seen on the internet.

Certainly mixed feelings looking at it. Really engrossing until you have to consider what happens at the end.
