Not long in from being there at Docklands Stadium.

Sometimes you wonder when the mediocrity with this club will ever end.The 8 point margin would make someone who did not attend or watch it on tv assume that it was a thriller. When it clearly was not.

The tolerance by supporters of achieving nothing, can't continue on forever. The tipping point will one day soon be reached.

This was one defeat too much... We actually went backwards this year. 2014 is looking like a lost season.

It was bitterly disappointing.

I'm concerned about the lack of fight that exists in our Club at the moment. The greatest moment in McCartney's tenure so far was the big blue at half time v Melbourne last year. It was stirring to see the boys get stuck in and have the fans rally to the call. This era of the Club has had far too few moments of a similar nature.

We need to start playing to our identity and come out snarling.

If we get done today- which will most likely happen, then the probability of winning the wooden spoon becomes more likely.

We don't want that stigma- forget the draft picks argument, since moving from the then named VFA to the then named VFL in 1925 we have only finished on the bottom 4 times- 1959,1967,1982 and 2003.

There is some pride there that it is only 4 times which for a team that has played in "all of" 2 Grand Finals since 1925. So its a history of mediocrity rather than a history of being totally and always abysmal.

Ha ha, no on top of the world tonight :) - some of those blokes out there may have read that comment I wrote about wooden spoons.

Liberatore (the old man) never played in a Wooden Spoon year (he retired in 2002 before the 2003 disaster) so Liberatore (the son) obviously doesn't want one.  Wallis the (old man) played his first senior game in 1983 ( we won the spoon in 1982)
